Life at Pushkar Camel Fair

A documentary project capturing the everyday life, rituals and quiet moments of the Pushkar Camel Fair in Rajasthan, India.

Beyond the spectacle and crowds, my work focuses on the people who shape the fair, camel herders, traders, pilgrims and workers whose lives revolve around tradition, survival and seasonal migration.

Through observational scenes, my work explores human and animal relationships, faith and resilience within one of the world's largest cultural gatherings. I have experienced and captured the photographs of camels through different perspectives. Rather than celebrating the fair as an event, the photographs document it as a lived reality where routine, struggle and devotion unfold side by side.
